I told the mom on the phone that I was pretty sure I knew what was happening but maybe...if I came I could remind him while he was up to bat. Sure enough when I got there it wasn't long before he was up. I stood behind the fence near home plate and watched a beautiful strike one! Nice swing...but he stepped and dropped his front knee while swinging. I yelled out to him, "Don't step and don't drop that front knee!" The coach dropped the ball into the machine and another beautiful pitch down the middle of the plate. Strike two! Same problem...Stepping, dropping his front knee and swinging below the ball! "Hey bud! You've got to focus! Now this time, don't step, don't drop your knee, and concentrate on taking the bat to the ball!" The coach drops in another ball...and then...Wham!! A line drive shot right between first and second into the out field!
I love my job.

That's great! I'm enjoying learning more about what you do with NBTA. I hope all of life is going as well as that moment went.
