The love and pain of it all...

After today, I think I need to post this sign at the front of NBTA. I can barely move right now. I got to the store at 8 this morning, did a quick major cleanup, like vacuum, dust, sweep, pick up all the baseballs left in the cages...and then at 9am...I started teaching my lessons. One after another, every 30 minutes, until 2:00 this after noon. Had a few minute or two breaks earlier but that huge 30 minute break at two, which consisted of fixing the vacuum cleaner that we broke in the morning and a quick smoke break, was great. I needed that! Then I started another lesson and finished at 3:30 which was the last lesson for the day...except for the 30 plus baseball players that started coming in for a private "birthday party and a one and a half hour camp" that we did not stop until 6:00 pm. After about an hour of clean up...we got out of there and I don't think there is a muscle that doesn't hurt in my body. Did I say that I hurt?

Man, I am sore...BUT, I am so thankful that I was able to actually make it through this day. I woke up last night around 2 am and stayed awake for about an hour. I was coughing and had a bit of a fever. The Lord and I had about an hour of time together and I asked Him if he would allow my body to keep going for this day. I knew that if I didn't show and do all this...it would be a disappointment for all those kids. I had no one to take my place today. The Lord kept his promise and I made it through. Now I have to go and ask Him about tomorrow! I need to be back at NBTA at noon.

Mark..I know God has blessed you with a strong body, however, you must rest it every once in a while. Take care of yourself.

Dang! You're a busy man! I'm trying to compare the description of your day with those old days that used to begin at DJ's. Quite a contrast. I can safely say that I don't remember any sore muscles as the result of drinking coffee, eating bagles (or whatever we ate) and smoking cigarettes.

Oddly enough, I was up for an hour during my night at about the same time you were up during yours.

Thanks friends! Last night again I was up around 1AM and it didn't look good. I took some Nyquil and my fever broke some time during the night! I made it to work and made it through the day! Thanks for the prayers John. And yes Ruth, I do need to rest! Michael...the good old days of DJ'S! That was another life. A really good one that I wish we could go back to at times! But we look ahead and know the Lord will continue to move us in His direction and for His purpose. Praise God that we never stand still! By the way...I hope your hour was as good as mine!
