We woke this morning to our first snow for the season. I was hoping we'd get through the winter without having to deal with this! It really has been a pleasant and easy winter so far. Our son gets the day off from school and my wife was taking a day off today....but she promised a friend that she would take her downtown to a meeting this morning, so we're waiting and hoping to hear that the meeting has been cancelled.
For those of you who know our area...there's no way to get anywhere without dealing with pretty steep hills. Usually there are wrecks everywhere and it takes forever to get anywhere. It can be quite an ordeal.
Well...here's to the first snow. May this be the last one too!

I like snow. I remember some great ones we used to have in the mountains when I was growing up. One year we got out of school for Christmas and January was so bad we didn't go back until February. Nothing like you knew (and Ruth knows) in Minnesota, but I enjoyed it.
I really don't mind it that much...but as you know, here in Nashville it makes it hard to do anything. Everything closes down and the world stops. I guess that could be a good thing...sometimes we need to stop.
