A cold Sunday

Yesterday, we held our first Baseball Clinic for the Grassland Athletic Association. It was 45 degrees and still we had almost 20 five and six year old, 15 seven and eight year old, and about 7 nine to twelve year old show up! It was cold!

We started the first clinic at one and the second at 3 and ended at 6 pm. It was a blast to watch these kids have so much fun and yet, work hard to learn how to throw, catch, and hit a ball. Most of the parents stuck around and watched.

I helped mainly with the five and six years old. This is probably my favorite age to work with. Not because they listen...but because of all the things they say and do! Right in the middle of talking about how to hit a ball, a kid breaks in saying, "I know when the civil war was fought! And I have a tin penny!" This goes on all through the day...what a hoot!

So...wish I had some pictures to post! Was planning on taking some but never got around to it. I don't remember seeing any parent with a camera either so I guess this day will not be remembered by photographs...but will be etched in a few minds as a nice cold memory.

Feeling better...just can't get over my cough. Trying to get in to see the doc today and knock this thing out. My ribs are killing me!
