After picking him up around 10:30 this morning, we headed out for an early lunch at a near by Deli. When we got back to his dorm (in the background) I took this picture of Becky and Tom before we headed out to the ball park. Once there we met Tom's friend Ashley. She sat with us through the game and seems to be a really nice girl. She has plans to work as a criminal investigator. She is a big CSI fan. Sounds like a good plan!

The game was an inter-squad game that started around 1:00. Tom played center field and I must admit, did an incredible job. He made a ton of plays and seemed extremely comfortable out there. At bat he hit a hard single and stretched it into a double ( which of course I was freaking out cause it looked like an impossible thing to do!). The few other times he batted he popped up and had a strike out...but that's okay! He had an overall good game.

We had to leave Chattanooga around 4 to get back to Nashville for a dinner that had been planned with 2 other couples that we've know for years. We use to get together every Saturday and would take turns hosting. We hadn't been together for the last 4 or 5 months so it was great getting caught up on our lives.
Well, one more week and Tom comes home for his first visit from college. Can't wait.

sounds like you two had another busy weekend....but I have this feeling you enjoyed it very much. So glad you were able to watch Tom play, he is becoming a very confident baseball player.
That is so great that you could go and do that and then head home for more fun....... It sounds and looks like Tom is adjusting well to college life... peace brother
Let's pray that he continues to adjust. Seems that he is struggling with the rules of a private school! I just hope he sees that they are put in place for a purpose.
rules are always hard to adjust to, even for adults!!!
