He's Alive!

Okay folks...think Alternative Medicine! This really is not comfortable!

So, Becky and I got to the hospital and was already stripped and checked in by 7:30 this morning. I was in surgery at 10 and out at 11. I was in the recovery room for about 2 hours and then 2 1/2 hours in a small room waiting for check out. We left the hospital around 3:30 and got home around 4. Needless to say the pain went crazy after walking up our stairs and hitting the bathroom! I thought they took care of the pain in my kidney! They did blast the kidney stone and they cut out the polyp on my bladder. For more information that you really don't need to know: They left a stent in my ureter...it's got a little string hanging out and I'm told that I get to pull this thing out next Monday. Now....how fun is that!

I'll see how this goes for the next few days. They promise me it will get better.

Thanks for all your prayers! Keep them up if you don't mind. I can take a lot of pain....but this really has surprised me. The way the doc talked, it would be no big deal!

Hey Mark – Yikes!! I have never know a truthful surgeon…. Your excitement next Monday could be the making of a bluegrass or country /western song… think of the tune for “I shot the sheriff.” And then sing “I pulled the stint and the stint came out!!!” You will have to make up the rest of the song yourself.

Believe me, my friend, I will keep praying for you.. Peace, John
