Revival in the American Heartland.

I read an article today about Mart Green, a 46 year old business man who donated 70 million to get Oral Roberts University back on track. Oral Roberts is retired and his son Richard was running the university for quite a few years. Richard Roberts has been caught using and abusing his power and taking just a wee bit too much money to live the life of a king and now has resigned...Sadly, Mr. Roberts forgot his scripture and thought he could get away with this. He had so many good examples in the recent past (Bakker, Swaggart, Haggard, etc.,), that you would think he would have realized it would be in his best interest to keep his nose clean.

Anyway, the reason I wanted to share this story is that this is what makes America great. A 46 year old business man who dropped out of school, makes a zillion dollars, and without knowing the Roberts and had never set foot on the university campus, becomes the Chairman of the university!

I know a bunch of folks who have graduated from Oral Roberts University and they love their school. I'm glad the Lord provided someone to come in and hopefully redeem it and bring it back to what the elder Roberts had desired it to be. A school for learning not only academics but one that gives spiritual nourishment to their students.
