Christmas Eve

Usually, our family will spend Christmas Eve with friends or family. We always gather at my sister's house and have snacks or a meal. For years I have begged to have a Korean dinner for our meal but I am out voted for the traditional turkey, ham, and fixings....which honestly, if I never eat that meal again I would be perfectly happy! BUT....beggars can't be choosy and my sister and her family always prepares and provides a wonderful holiday fest.

Anyway, today with our small family I decided it was time to get a Korean meal in! A new place opened up close to my work and we made it in for a great lunch. Bul Go Ki (marinated beef) with awesome white sticky rice (Korean rice is the best!) and all the side dishes like Mul kimche, radish kimche, cabbage kimche, bean sprouts, potato, tofu, and a few unknowns! It was awesome...and surprisingly affordable!

When we got home I decided it was time for a family picture. After many attempts with Nabi our dog (never looking at the camera!) I decided this picture would do. Not that you need to see our lovely faces but if you were wondering how many pounds we put on this year...now you know.

Merry Christmas all. I hope you have a great day with your families. Don't forget to wish Jesus a Happy Birthday...(even though we know he was probably born in September) since this is one of the main reasons we celebrate this day.

May the Lord bless you.

Ahh... "meal of meals, kimchee and rice" (to quote our old friend David Livingston's song). I'm glad you finally got your Korean holiday meal.

Happy and Blessed Christmas to you and yours.
