Yesterday was my first Sunday off since January...and what a great day to be with my family. Twenty three of us sitting around tables and enjoying fellowship! Julio's parents came in from Mexico and Samantha's parents were in from Texas to make this a bit larger gathering than normal. The food was awesome! Lamb with all sorts of side dishes and for dessert, strawberry or blueberry shortcake. After the feast, my son found a Dodger game on TV and I actually sat down and spent the afternoon napping through a few innings!
Of course we were celebrating Easter. Thankfully, no bunnies or eggs were found. We celebrated the risen King. Not that we need a special day to celebrate Jesus who died for the sins of the world and rose from the dead to conquer death...but, it was good to know that millions around the world took a day to remember that He is risen! If only we could learn to celebrate this everyday.
