After kick starting the day with a couple of cups of Starbucks, I headed downtown to check out the University School. They are having a "Fall Festival" this weekend and I am going to be providing a batting cage and a pitching machine to be used as part of their fund raiser for the school. Somehow I agreed to do this a long time ago! After looking at the layout, checking out the school and getting more information...this may really be a good thing for NBTA. Should be fun and hopefully we will find some new customers.
The rest of the day went as usual. I did have a new coach come for the first time. He played in college and even got to pro ball. He had heard about us and wanted me to work with his son on hitting. I was a little hesitant....after all, he did play pro! Anyway, after the lesson I think he appreciated what I was doing. Sometimes...you just need someone to show you things that you know but tend to forget to relate to an eight year old kid! He wants to come back and bring his team. Hopefully, that will happen soon!
As our last customer for the night was paying she asked me how much it would cost for us to coach a school baseball team in the spring. After I found out which school and giving her what it might take...she seemed to think something could be worked out! Yeah God! We were approached by another school a few months ago (still trying to work out details) and she had told me to double the price that I had quoted for them! Yeah God again!
Mentally...I don't see how we could coach in the spring and also keep the store open for all the private lessons that we need to do. But I think the Lord may know how to work that out if this is what we need to be involved with.
As I am having a cup of coffee in this crisp cool October morning, I am so thankful for what the Lord continues to do for me after all these years. I whine and complain...and He still shows me His love. He continues to be involved...even in the little details of life.

How weird! Raleigh's school is called University School, and they're having a fall festival this weekend. I did a double-take when reading your first sentences!
That is strange! This use to be connected to Vanderbilt but now it's on it's own. Very expensive school! Has a great reputation...anyway, I hope it's not too cold Saturday. It's pretty darn cold today!
Hope Raleigh and you guys have a fun weekend at the festival.
