This past Saturday was to be our first day of FUNdamentals Camp for the winter months. Disaster! No one showed up! I had a few calls during the week asking why we had changed to Saturday mornings instead of our usual Tuesday or Thursday night program. My response was that those nights are a bit too full with private lessons and team practices and we need at least two cages to make the camp happen. Saturday mornings are the best time to have the most cages open.

Needless to say...Saturday mornings most kids have basketball games. Basketball?! Who knew?! I always forget that their are other sports besides baseball and kids like to play them! Oh well, I guess Coach Tom will have to settle for private teaching instead of getting a great group (like those in the picture above) to have FUN with! You see...Tom runs the camp and though he teaches the kids, they always end the camp with a great game of wiffle baseball. And I know Tom has more fun playing than the kids! I hope he never loses that love.
