11 Days before Christmas

December 14, 1988 - eleven days before Christmas, our mother passed away. We buried mom with our father at a Veterans Cemetary here in Nashville when my father passed away July 22, 2003.

She was and still is the joy we know as she continues to hold us all together as a family.
I can't wait to see her again.

I remember having to play a gig at the Cock-Eyed Camel while you were gone to California for your mother's funeral. It was a difficult night in a lot of ways.

I remember that now that you mentioned it. It was a hard time...went to the old Cock-Eyed Camel a month or so ago and had an over priced, not so great, Italian dinner. I think that was the second time I've been there since the Camel closed it's doors.

I am always confused about life after death....do we really see our lost relatives again???

ABSOLUTELY Ruth!! The mercy, grace, and love of God is unconditional! Scripture teaches us that because of Adam all die...but because of Christ Jesus, ALL will be made alive...each in his own order! That's why the Gospel means "Good News". Rejoice...the Saviour is born!
1 Cor. 15

OK, that's cool...but now for the hard question...how do I know if I'm going to heaven??

Ruth...that's an easy question. Scroll down to my Dec 1st post and read the Scriptures. Jesus had one purpose and that was to be the Saviour of all Mankind. He accomplished that purpose by his birth, death, and resurrection. If you read 1 Corinthians 15 again, Paul completes the picture for us. If you doubt, pray and ask the Lord to give you the faith to believe and continue to have a relationship with HIM. He will give you the answer to your prayer.
