Sowing Seeds to Prosperity

I was having trouble sleeping in the early morning hours and decided to turn on my tv to see what was on. Since it was around 3 am...not much but info-commercials and of course the usually prophets, pastors, and religious programs.

I found out that if I sow seeds of faith, with my money of course, and send in donations to pretty much every program that I stopped to watch for a moment...I would become a gazillionaire! Not only that...a prophet would email me and give me all the info I needed for my future, which of course I am assuming that means how much I would make should I send money to him.

I am amazed that these people are actually getting people to send them money. I mean, I guess people are sending them money because it costs a ton of money just to have a program on tv. So, they have to make enough to keep the program on and they must get enough (and more!) to continue.

When I finally got out of bed and got to my computer I decided to look up a website that one guy was pushing. Of course it was a "Sow your Seeds to Prosperity" type site...and though religious in nature, it really had nothing to do with anything but sending this guy money and then he would send you a book or cd or something. He did have different levels of "gifts" that you could send. I assume if you did the $100.00 seed you wouldn't receive as much blessing or "harvest" if you had sent in a $200.00 or $1,000.00 seed...

What a wacky world.

I'm sure I won't become one...I can't afford the smallest amount they were asking for! Well..I don't want to afford the smallest amount they were asking for!

Maybe I should come up with an infomercial to raise seed money to get these guys off air!!!!

I wonder how many viewers will send these people money and then stand on the street corner and preach the sinfulness of such things as the lottery. That these "religious" folk are able to gather the money to stay on the air--to buy their own stations and satellites and wardrobes and hair products--proves that much of the modern world is filled with enthusiastic darkness and ignorance.
