As sad as it was to hear the news about Steve McNair, and how sad it was to know why his life was taken at such a young age, the service that was live on TV tonight here in Nashville was inspiring and gave honor to Steve, his family, friends, and most importantly his Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.
Sin is ugly. It captures all of us and takes us down roads we hate. We do things that we know we shouldn't do and sometimes it takes us down a road that leads to destruction. I hate that Steve was caught up into something that destroyed his physical life...but, I thank God that this is not the end of his life. I believe with all my heart that this is the beginning of what Steve McNair truly desired. Love that is unconditional. Love that looks beyond the pain, the hurt, the pride, the ego, and loves because He is love. May the Lord be praised for His unconditional Love.
Pray for Steve McNair's family. Especially for his children who will certainly have to deal with the world knowing all the story.
And as hard as it may be, pray for the woman who destroyed his life as well as her own. Pray for her family and pray the Lord will use this to bring many to Him.
