Home, home, again

Made it home and in plenty of time to nap to the Tennessee Titans game! That's the only thing that helps watching them...sleep through it! It's time to make some changes in that orgainization..start with getting rid of the owner and then the head coach! Now I know why Houston begged them to leave. Sad...

Anyway, after my nap time it was time to head to the ball park. I coach the Hillwood High School fall ball team. We got there and found out that we only had 7 players show up. We actually have 17 that signed up and usually we have only 10 or 11 show up for the games. Needless to say we've lost every game we've played except for one. The other team gave us a few players so we could play the game. Wish they were on our team! We were ahead tonight by 4 runs in the last inning...thought we had this one...but sure enough, a few hits and a bunch of errors helped us lose another one. Tom came through with 3 hits, a few stolen bases, 2 RBI's, and a few runs scored. My youngest player hit really well tonight. 2 for 4 and we had one player that after yesterday, this was his 2nd game ever played. He's learning and trying real hard.

We had a good time down in Chattanooga but it's nice to be home. The coach at Temple said he would be calling us sometime this week. Hope he wants Tom to play for them. Tomorrow we spend the day at Trevecca University. Thankfully the drive there is only about 30 minutes.

I hope the day is good. Isn't waiting for those telephone calls like being in the music business again? Let's hope that Tom's call turns out much better!

Yes...and as you know, they will take their time before they make that call! Tom really liked this school and was very impressed with the coaches. I do hope they want him even he decides to go somewhere else.
