It's been raining here for the past few days. Woke up to rain this morning and it looks like this is going to continue for the day. Our last double header of the year is tomorrow morning and I have a feeling it will be called off. The team came in yesterday and are pretty pumped about these last games. They really want to win one before it's all over! I'm praying for sunshine and a dry field!
Last night Tom had a "homecoming" battle that was between the Seniors and Juniors. A bunch of kids came to our house and filled up water balloons with a mixture of water, vinegar, mustard ketchup, and a few other ingredients that they had blended together in a blender. They had dozens of eggs in their cars and went to a farm to have a little fun. When he got home I was expecting him to be covered with this stuff...but it sounds like someone called the police and they didn't get very far in destroying each other! At least no one was hurt. I don't get this kind of fun...but I don't "get" a lot of things that people do.
Gotta get ready for the day...Pray for sunshine.

I so agree with you....there is nothing like a 7th game of the World Series. Hope it does go that far.
I've been pulling for the Tigers as well (although I don't watch baseball). When I was a kid visiting relatives in Michigan, a live Tigers game--back in the days of Al Kaline--became my first BIG event.
Dang Cards! But boy...did they deserve it! They played great and they are a classy bunch of guys.
....I was thinking that perhaps, just perhaps, I could talk some of my friends into a water baloon fight...like your son almost had - dang police.... Any takers????
I too was favoring Detroit, but, the Cards earned every bit of their title........as an Atlanta fan first, I will sing our antham for detroit....maybe next year?
You and mac can have that water balloon fight with your students!...and if for some reason my son comes to ETSU he'll show you exactly how to make em!
