10 days before Christmas

This picture was taken in 1982 in California at Christmas time...and if I'm not mistaken, the last picture taken of my mom, dad, and their 7 natural children. My wife and I and jb drove about 40 hours straight to be at this final reunion. It almost killed us...but was well worth it.

I'm thankful that many of us celebrate reasons to be together. For our family, it is Jesus whom we celebrate, and it is Jesus who gives us reasons to live and love and desire fellowship with one another.

If you look at the historical accounts in Scripture, we can see that Jesus wasn't born during the month of December (most likely the end of September), but I'm glad we celebrate it at this time. Just before a new year begins...we are able to focus on what really matters and it brings us hope for the coming year.

May God bless us all as we look to Him.

Isn't it wonderful when families actually love and care for each other?!? I wished all famlies could feel that joy.

Thankfully, one day we all will feel that joy! I am blessed that the Lord allowed me to have such a great family while in this earth suit!
