When I went to bed last night the wind was whipping pretty strong but I didn't think it would do much damage....but the local news sure has a lot of reports on roads that need to be avoided because of all the trees that have fallen.
On to other news, yesterday morning I got a call from my son. He was on his way to a hospital because some friends of his had a wreck on their way to school. They were beaten up pretty good and the car was totaled. One of them is still in the hospital with injuries that may include a damaged liver. She also has a sprained ankle, bashed up knee, and neck and back pain. Then in the afternoon, my son was a passenger in another friends car and they were rear ended on the interstate! They were all okay, but it sounds like the truck they were in received a lot of damage.
Just another day in paradise...
Update:

Thirty minutes after I took the picture above, Nashville's finest, Metro Public Works, showed up to get the tree out of the road! Who knew they could respond so fast!

It rained here today - for 17 seconds, ok, maybe it was several minutes - I did not see it, I was inside and by the time I saw outside the sun was out and everything is still too dry... I am sorry to hear about your son and his friends... take good care, john
Hi Mark,
I hope your son is recovering and has not had any after effects.
Dennis
So far, everything is fine...just hope a neck or back injury doesn't creep up!
