Project Mom

NBTA Fast-Pitch Softball trainer, Pam Fowler, Leslie, and me.

Yesterday we had Re:Source Media Inc. from Canada shoot a special segment for an upcoming program that airs on Country Music Television...in Canada of course! called "Project Mom". It probably won't ever be seen in the USA, so all my perfectly placed logos and info on NBTA will not be seen in America. But who cares! It was a blast being able to bless a mom and give her some lessons on pitching, fielding, catching, and hitting.

So the program "Project Mom & Project Dad" seems to be a hit in Canada. This is their second year of doing this program. What happens is that families submit their mom or dads story and tell the producers of the show why their parent should be selected. Once chosen, they find out who their favorite country star is...then they ask the star (in this case Carrie Underwood) to choose things for the mom or dad to do for a few days. This mom (Leslie) comes from British Columbia and wanted to spend some time in Nashville. So as Carrie was a softball player, she found out that this mom also played fast pitch softball, hence...personal and professional training lessons at Nashville Baseball Training Academy! Leslie was blown away as she walked into our facility and seemed to totally enjoy her training. The big question that everyone wants to know..."Was Carrie Underwood there!!!" That's a big....no. She couldn't make it here but I assume on one of Leslie's escapades while in Nashville, she will show up to meet her.

So were you on screen doing all the training for Leslie? How does T(oronto)BTA sound?

Pam did most of the training. I did a little with hitting, but tried to let Pam and Leslie have their day.

TBTA would be fine...just as long as I don't have to go up there to run it!
