BaseballAmerica Awards Banquet

Larry Scannell, former Boston Redsox player and owner of "SmartSports" invited me to join him at the MLB Winter Conference. We attended the "BaseballAmerica" awards banquet and had a great time hanging out and meeting some great pro ball players, as well as, up and coming stars of the future. Nashville's own David Price (Vanderbilt) was awarded College Player of the Year!

Larry and I have been talking for awhile and he has designed a system that will change the way colleges and the MLB find their recruits. NBTA should be the first training facility in TN to be a part of this and we are excited to partner with SmartSports. Pray for Larry as he develops this with MLB. There seems to be a lot of excitement around this and we hope that it will be available soon for all our players at NBTA.

Here's a picture of some of the folks that received awards yesterday...a few folks are missing, like Cal Ripken Jr! You can see John Smoltz, David Price, the High School Players of the year, and some great MLB scouts, managers, and coaches! Should have written all their names down!

So Larry took some pictures of me with Cal Ripken, John Smoltz, and the great "MC" of the award show and great ball player, Harold Reynolds. Hopefully I'll post those pictures if Larry sends them to me!

Sadly, my hero Tommy Lasorda was not at the event! Maybe one day I'll get to meet him.
