KB marries...and TC plays his last summer game.

Friday night, NBTA head trainer, Keith Brown, tied the knot right on a baseball field! Yes, he and his lovely wife, Renay, said their wedding vows on Dugin Baseball Field on the David Lipscomb University campus, right on the pitchers mound! Keith is an ex-major league pitcher for the Cincinnati Reds. So, Keith threw out the first ball and then they started the ceremony. It was a beautiful evening with about 80 or more guest attending. Congratulations Keith and Renay! May the Lord bless your lives together. (like an idiot, I forgot to bring a camera to their wedding! Wish I could share what it looked like...)

The picture above is a shot of Tom's last game with the Blazers. He's in left field so it's a bit hard to see him! Anyway, they played a double header, won both games, and Tom went 5 for 7 at bats. 3 doubles, 2 singles, a ground out and a long fly out and 2 stolen bases. A good way to end his summer season. We figured out that he hit close to 400 for the season. Not bad! He was a bit sad when we left the park. He won't be able to play in their playoff games next week. He'll be getting his stuff together down in Chattanooga as he prepares for his sophomore year.

It was a nice weekend. Hope you all had a good one too.

Best of luck to Tom in his sophomore year--in the classroom, on the ball field, out and about in the world.
