Every morning I come out to my front porch with my dog
Nabi to have a cup of coffee and a smoke.
Nabi's job is to look over her kingdom and make sure the foxes, cats,
squirrels, dogs, and any other critter...stay away from her space. While she's doing that I am spending time listening to my $7.99 AM/FM radio that I bought many, many years ago (at least 15 years) from our local Radio Shack. One of the best purchases I've ever made! It stays outside on my side table and never journeys indoor. Through the heat, cold, rain, and snow, I can count on hitting the on button and hearing my favorite stations come through the little speaker. For the first time I can remember (which you know I have little memory)...I finally had to change the batteries the other day. Amazing how something so cheap has lasted so long. Unlike the hundreds of dollars I spent on power amps and receivers only to witness their demise after a few short years of pampering and keeping them inside and protected from the storms.
Beck and I are a bit sick today...but, I hear the porch calling again and see a fox in the neighbors yard. Nabi is about to have some fun.
