Kenny Marks/Margaret Becker "Make it Right" 1987

We went to our yearly New Years Day party at our friends house, the Wanca's. Once a year I run into old music friends like Kenny Marks. Margaret is never at this party, but until a couple of years ago, she just lived right up the street from us.

Anyway, this was my first number 1 song I had as a writer. Stayed on the charts for quite sometime, and was most played song of 1987 (Kenny's version) in the Christian music world, but Margaret's version did receive quite a bit of airplay too. This was one of those strange things that happened...two artists doing the same song at the same time for their records. It worked out good for me! but, I think Margaret (maybe more her record company) was a bit bummed that radio picked Kenny's version. So after seeing Kenny today I was wondering if anyone ever did a video on the song and looked it up on youtube. Not quite! but, here's the song(s) anyway. Happy New Year Everyone!

(Just in case someone is worried about the copyright...I wrote the song and I own the song! so, I gave myself permission to use it!)

Great song Mark, both versions are good, but I do like Margaret's better.

Good to hear that song again, Mark. What are Kenny and Margaret doing now?

Ruth...I like Margaret's version too! I do lean a bit more to the rock side of things.

Kenny is selling Porche cars and still doing a little playing. Margaret is writing books, performing, and producing other artists on top of still doing some herself. She moved off our street a couple of years ago, so I don't see her very often now.
