I got there a little before 8 last night for check in. Around 10 the nurse came in and hooked me up with wires attached to my head, around my eyes and neck, and on my legs. I looked like the back of a stereo system! So, this information is sent to a computer in another room as they watch me sleep using a video camera. As the nurse left the room she said that if I was having a problem they would actually hook me up to a C-PAP which is what is pictured above.
So, around 2 AM they came in my room to wake me up and stick me on the C-PAP machine. This thing constantly blows oxygen into you nose. Weird. Didn't like it...but they say once I am using this I will sleep better and feel less tired during the day. I really don't feel that bad now...but my wife was worried because if I'm not snoring, I'm holding my breath while I sleep.
After all was done this morning around 6, the nurses told me that I had sleep apnea in what they called not severe, but bad enough that I really need to be sleeping with this machine. What I do is bad for the heart and this will help me to have a healthier life...that's their story anyway.
So now that I'm home I'm thinking about taking a nap before the Sears repair guy gets here. Our washing machine started smoking really bad last Friday...I think it bit the dust.
Here's to Monday! Hope this week is a blessing for all. I'm counting on a blessed week...As scripture says, the Lord loves His kids and loves to bless them. And I'm one of em!
