Short Road Trip

In the last five years when I have looked at my schedule, I have rarely noticed that I didn't have even one client coming for training on a Friday. But, as the Lord does nice things for His kids, a few of days ago I realized that not one client was booked for today....so, I get to head to Chattanooga this morning to see TTU's opening game of the season and hang out with my son for an hour or so before heading back to Nashville! Sadly, Beck couldn't take the day off to join me.

I don't think Tom will be playing today which is going to kill me to sit through the game if I see errors and strike outs from whomever is playing in his position! But that's the way it is and I know that his day will come. He has really improved as a ballplayer and now it's not a matter of if he should start...just when. TTU has a good team this year and everyone is fighting for their spot. So that's good! It will make each one a better ballplayer knowing that anyone on the bench could take their place.

Sadly, this may be the only game I get to this year unless the economy continues to tank like its been doing and people decide not to add baseball training in their budget. Looking at my records from last year at this time...our income has been cut in half. That's not good. The numbers don't work and if this continues the next few months it will be a disaster. Oh well...the Lord knows what we need and I trust He will accomplish his purpose for us!

Anyway...I'm headed out of here to see my son!

I hope the day was a great one--safe travels, good weather, time with Tom, a good game (with maybe Tom seeing some action).

I hope you're able to hang in there with the business, buddy. I can tell you love it.
