Getting Away

Yesterday ended up being a great day with friends from Florida. They came up to do a little business and have always had a desire to check out Cottage Cove but have never had the time when they have passed through. Got down there before lunch and showed off the staff and property and found out that they are much more involved in inner-city ministry down in Florida. Great people and thankful for their desire to minister the gospel in a real way.

We're headed to Chattanooga today for a "College Days" weekend. Our son is checking out Tennesse Temple University as a possibility for him attend this coming year. The baseball coach has him set up in a room with one of the players and he will be working out with the team tomorrow. Saturday we watch the team play a double header, and then Saturday night, Michael W. Smith ends the weekend with a concert. We head back Sunday and need to be here for a double header for our Fall Ball team. Should be a nice weekend.

I hope the weekend goes (or went) great for Tom. Also wanted to pass on a mistake I made about Milligan College. I said its heritage was Presbyterian, but I've since learned that it's Church of Christ or Church of God--I'm not sure what the difference is or why a difference exists. Anyway, I couldn't find any denominational affiliation on the web site, but you might have looked at it more than I.

Thanks! Yes, I did some reseach on Milligan and it's really more of a Church of Christ/Christian Church.
The two above have laid the hatchet down and call each other brothers now...but if you asked them about the Church of God...well, you can imagine they would not take to kindly to the idea that "those" people would be associated with them! I love the church....so accepting!
Tom seems to be having a good time. We're kinda just here and won't be doing to much. Probably spend some time with my brother Nam tomorrow night. He lives close by in Hixson.
Should be able to check emails and post this weekend. Later!
