I really didn't accomplish much today. Once I got to work I spent most of the day reading. I love to study the Scriptures and read what others have learned through the ages and hopefully apply the good that I find to my life. I also love the history of man and try to understand the past to understand the present...which brings me to all the stuff I read that is suppose to be earth shattering wisdom on how to fix the problems of the world. Most of what you find on the net is...just get rid of Bush. Bush lied. Bush wants oil. Bush wants power. Get rid of Bush and the war will end. Bush blah, blah, blah. And the really wise ones write about pretty much nothing at all. They just waste a lot of words that offer very little understanding of the problems and hardly ever write anything that would be beneficial for mankind...and when they do, it usually is something that has already been done and as history usually shows...it didn't work then either. But...I still read and still try to see if anyone out there in the secular world might catch a glimpse of reality and see some things of the Spirit. And when they try to spiritualize their thoughts I find that the spiritual ones that the media chooses to use as their tie to "God... and the things of God" don't exactly fall on my list as ones whom I would personally listen to.
It's funny...the Scriptures tells us that in the last days the wise would become fools...and I never understood that until the last few years. Not that I have any real depth of knowledge or wisdom. But I do know that God has given me eyes to see, ears to hear, and a heart willing to submit to His wisdom and not that of man.
