When our youngest son was about 8 years old he would try to copy the things that I was doing. Since I spent most of my time on the phone, particular on a cell phone with a headset on, he decided that he needed a way to have his hands free to continue his work around the house one day. My wife caught him cleaning his bathroom (which doesn't happen very often these days!) and took this picture. His invention was so brilliant I ended up making this advertisement and had forgotten about it until last night when I was going through some old CD files from one of my old computers that had died! I am so glad I saved some of my files from that time in our lives! Now that Tom's 18 and ready to head off to college...I hope he invents another helpful tool that can be sold to the masses. We need something to help pay for his education!

The 1996 Invention of the Year
