A week ago Monday, our air conditioner decided it had had enough. Not sure if it was hit by lightning or hit by a power surge. So, I called my insurance company and we're still waiting to see if it's covered.They have to send out an independent examiner to determine how it blew up...so, while they are taking their time doing this, we're living with fans that are taking cool air from our basement aircon and driving it up stairs. We have fans all throughout the house trying to keep air flowing so we can sleep at night. It sounds like an airport in here!
I called yesterday and they still hadn't come to a decision on our coverage. So after paying them for the past 25 years for coverage, you'd think they could at least do this in a timely manner. It's a five year old unit...it blew up due to a surge. I would imagine this is fairly normal and shouldn't take a week or more to make a decision.
Here's hoping today's the day I get a call from them.

I like the heat, but a lot of people prefer the comfort of AC... and as for insurance companies, they have you by the throat (wanted to say a body part further south but I think this is a family blog). Anyway, I'll be praying for you!!!
